Donated by his owner, Marco de Esperanza entered the OTRP in October of 2011.  While an Okie bred, Marco came to the us via Nebraska where he had dropped thru the claiming ranks and last raced in a $2,500 claiming race finishing almost 30 lengths back.

Marco arrived with a sore back and was relieved the moment he set foot in an OTRP stall for rehab.

After rehabilitation, Marco was assessed and determined to not be suitable for riding and was placed into the permanent retiree herd in 2012.
