A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Oklahoma Thoroughbred Retirement Program is dedicated to helping Oklahoma Thoroughbred horses no longer able to compete on the racetrack by providing retraining, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement. We believe the responsibility of caring for our ex-racehorses starts at home. All of our efforts are focused on Oklahoma bred, owned, or trained Thoroughbred horses.
The ability to accomplish our goals is directly dependent upon the generosity of other like-minded people. The number of horses we can help depends on the amount of money donated.

How You Can Help
Our most consistent need in helping off the track thoroughbreds (OTTB’s) is financial assistance. In addition, our retired warriors and adoption prospects need a suitable home, both temporary and permanent. We offer sponsorship programs that allow you to support a specific horse with a monthly financial donation, in full, or in any amount. We certainly welcome in-kind donations like feed, hay, veterinary supplies, etc. Please feel free to contact us about any in- kind assistance you could provide.
